As landlord, host and managing director, Hansi Pe\u00dfler has been fully behind the Hofbr\u00e4u for over 30 years – so it’s no wonder that practically everyone in Bamberg knows who is meant by “Hansi” and what the saying “Geh mer zum Hansi” means.<\/p>\n

The Bamberg native was born into the world of gastronomy. His father owned a brewery on Michelsberg and his parents met in the former “Blaue Glocke” restaurant. Obviously only a restaurateur could come out from under this star. Hansi already enjoyed being at the stove as a child. So what could be more obvious than continuing this passion and then opening a restaurant? <\/p>\n

In addition to his passion for cooking and food, Hans Pe\u00dfler has a second passion in his life: music. So it’s not surprising that he combines both passions and sometimes picks up the congas and gives it his all. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The core of the three-storey sandstone ashlar building, formerly known as the Hallerhaus, dates back to 1600 and was given its current external appearance around 1730.<\/p>\n

What was once a mint was converted into a caf\u00e9 on the first floor by Anton Staller.<\/p>\n
